GENERAL GUIDELINES
DISPLAY AREA
You will be provided with a project poster board (tri-fold backboard) ~ 3 feet wide by 3 feet tall. However, backboards may be made of any suitable material you choose that is able to support its own weight. Cardboard boxes work well, as well as foam core or presentation boards. When displayed, the project should not occupy more than 3 feet of length and 15 inches of depth.
DISPLAY INFO
The center panel should contain the project title with large lettering, clear enough for someone to see from a distance, and any visual materials (e.g., photos, drawings, etc.) Side panels should have supporting material (more photos, drawings, graphs, charts, etc.). If you are doing an experiment, it is suggested that you state the Problem on the front panel, put the Hypothesis and Procedure on the left panel, and the Results and Conclusions on the right panel.
DISPLAY LOGISTICS
All projects using liquids must be contained to try and limit spills. Projects using liquid with dyes, food coloring or other staining material cannot be brought to the science fair. This is to insure LCE's tables and floors stay in good condition. We appreciate your support.
Students should place their name on the back of their board and bring some sort of container or bag to pack up their materials on April 14th. All projects will be taken down prior to lunch on the 14th.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Students will not be able to bring their boards or large containers on the bus. Parents MUST make transportation arrangements to pick up their child after school on April 14th. We cannot be held liable for projects left at the school after that date.
** All students must stay with their displays during the Science Fair Night on April 13th and All Student Day on April 14th. Please do not leave anything of value over night.
