Volunteer Help Needed

Seeking Scientist Volunteers - We've been working to line up a few demonstrations already, but we’d like more. If you know something about some aspect of science and could bring or do something interesting, please consider volunteering. Or if you have scientist friends who could help out, please consider asking them. To explore this further or get more info please contact traciportugal@comcast.net.

Parent Volunteers - We’d like to have adult volunteers to help kids check in, set up / take down their projects, and overall help supervise the events. If you are able to volunteer on April 13th or April 14th please make sure to note it on your child’s registration form or contact cristie.uplinger@gmail.com.

Science Fair Board Positions - We are always looking for additional parent participation. We meet once in the Fall to assign responsibilities and once a month in the few months leading up to the actual Events. Positions include but are not limited to:

   Chair

   Communication Focal

   Volunteer Coordinator

   Help Night Coordinator

   Kick Off Event Coordinator

   Challenge Question Focal

   Treasurer

   Registration Focal

Don't Panic:

The science fair is a great chance for grown ups and kids to experiment, learn and have fun together. It is the journey that you take and the adventures that you have on the way that are important. And if you make mistakes, that's the best way to learn.
