Golden Acorn Award

The GOLDEN ACORN is a very special award given by our PTA for individuals who have given outstanding volunteer service and shown dedication to our children and youth. Candidates are required to be PTA members, demonstrate service to all students, and their volunteer service generally extends into the community in addition to their service through PTA and the school environment.

Each honoree will receive a Golden Acorn pin and a special plaque, and a contribution will be made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships for post-secondary students. Any PTA member may nominate an award recipient.

An “educator” may be defined as a teacher, assistant, specialist, support staff, or administrator.

Each honoree will receive an Outstanding Educator pin and a special plaque, and a contribution will be made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships for post-secondary students.

Volunteer of the Month

(click above to see this year's V.o.M.)

Our school is fortunate to have a solid volunteer base. So many parents and family members dedicate their time and energy to help in our children's education. All the hours and hard work do not go unrecognized!

LCE PTA would like to show our volunteers our appreciation by recognizing a Volunteer of the Month. Each month we will select a volunteer that has gone above and beyond in service for our school, students and PTA. Selected volunteers will be featured in the Wolverine Weekly and on our social media pages.

It's easy to nominate a volunteer. Just email volunteer@littlecedarspta.org with the name or names of volunteers you feel go above and beyond, along with a short summary of why you are nominating them. Each month, we will select from the submissions.
